About Us

MEWN is based on the principles of individuality and sustainability. We believe that every human on this earth has a beautiful story to tell through self expression and art. 

MEWN started because our founder and designer, Megan Barbera, saw firsthand how often fabric is over-produced and not utilized- ultimately being sent to a landfill. She wanted to create a brand that focused on creatively utilizing scrap fabric and deadstock materials to make unique and long lasting clothing. With this, not only do we lessen impact on the environment, but we also create garments that are 100% unique to you.

We believe that fashion gives us the opportunity to speak words we can not find. We believe in creating your own world instead of conforming to one.

In the future, we hope to open up studios across the country that produce our pieces, as well as offer sewing classes, alteration services and education on sustainability in fashion.
