MEWN is based on the principles of individuality. We believe that every human on this earth has a beautiful story to tell through self expression and art. 

Megan Barbera, founder and designer of MEWN, has always looked to fashion to speak the words she could not find. Throughout childhood, she would paint, dye and cut her clothes to tell the story she wanted to tell. She has always believed that you should create your own world instead of conforming to one, and MEWN stands for that.

The fashion industry creates 92 million tons of waste per year. We’d rather not contribute to that. That is why we only use recycled or deadstock fabric in all of our pieces. With this, not only do we lessen impact on the environment, but we also create garments that are 100% unique to you.
